This tour will allow us to explore the “Boucle du Mouhoun” region, which is one of the most populous regions of Burkina Faso. We will explore the city of Dédougou which is the capital of the Boucle du Mouhoun region. The region takes its name from the Mouhoun River, which is one of the largest rivers in the country. The city of Dédougou is made up of a multitude of ethnic groups, the main one being the Bwaba ethnic group. This region is located in the Sudano-Sahelian climatic zone with three variants. We will go to the discovery of their culture, traditions and their way of life.
Day 1: Hexagon - Ouagadougou
Welcome by our correspondent at the International airport, transfer to the hotel in Ouagadougou, installation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Ouagadougou - Dedougou 232 km
Breakfast and departure for Dédougou, the land of Marka, Samo, Peuls and Mossi peoples, visit of the Issouka Museum in Koudougou, visit along the way of some interesting family concessions, lunch on the road, onward journey, arrival and installation at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Dedougou
Breakfast, visit of the Dedougou market), meeting and sharing with the population in the surrounding villages, immersion in their way of life, lunch in a typical restaurant, visit of the former Dédougou military camp, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Dedougou - Bobo Diolasso 180 km
Breakfast, departure for Bobo-Dioulasso, the former capital of Upper Volta through authentic villages, lunch in Bobo, arrival and installation at the hotel, visit of the Houet museum located in an architectural building characteristic of the colonial era, visit of the colorful market, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Bobo Diolasso - Tengrela - Banfora 86km
After breakfast, we take the road that crosses the cliff of Banfora towards a green region where we will observe on the way sugar cane plantations, an orchard of mango and bissap trees, discovery of the breathtaking domes of Fabedougou, real limestone cathedrals carved by erosion, shots, lunch in Banfora, visit of the Kerfiguela waterfalls fed by the Koba river, abundant after the rainy season, in the afternoon, canoe trip on Lake Tengrela in the afternoon with the possibility of observing hippos, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Banfora - Sindou - Banfora 50 km
Breakfast and excursion to Sindou, discovery of the fascinating peaks of Sindou which is the sacred place of the Sénoufo people, trekking in the labyrinth of the domes, picnic, in the afternoon, canoe on Lake Tengrela in search of hippos, return to Banfora, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Banfora - Boromo 264 km
Breakfast and departure for Boromo, visit and shooting in the villages, arrival and installation at the hotel, lunch with traditional dishes, walk in the city, tasting of millet beer, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Boromo - Ouagadougou - Hexagon 178 km
Breakfast, visit to Bazoulé which is a Mossi village and the main ethnic group of Burkina Faso, discovery of it amazing pond of sacred crocodiles, visit of the wood sculptor of the Bwaba ethnic group who carves superb masks, visit to the village of Sabou which is famous for its sacred caimans, continuation of the trip to Ouagadougou, arrival and transfer to the Airport, END OF OUR SERVICES.
