8 days and 7 nights to discover the cultural depths of Po, Léo and Ouagadougou
It is a circuit reserved for culture enthusiasts and those who want to meet and share with authentic populations who are still very animist, a good approach to Burkina Faso in 8 days of adventure, Escapade in the South of the country of upright men. Our itinerary will immerse us in the depths of West African culture in the countries of Gourounsi-Kasséna, Mossi, Peuls and Bissa peoples.
Day 1: Hexagon - Ouagadougou
Welcome by our correspondent at the International airport, transfer to the hotel in Ouagadougou, installation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Ouagadougou - Pô (148 km)
After breakfast, we leave for the Gourounsi-Kasséna, Mossi, Peuls and Bissa countries, on the way, we will visit the mosque of Nagnimi and the women potters of Kombissiri. Arrival and installation in a local hotel, lunch, meeting with the population, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Po and surroundings
Breakfast, visit the border market with Ghana, which is very colorful and conducive to trade, visit the Naaba Bilgo children’s weaving site, visit the Royal Palace of the Chief of Tiakané which served as a refuge for the explorer Binger, lunch in a family concession with typical dishes of the country, after meeting and sharing with the populations, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4.5: Po - Tiebele 30 km
Breakfast, departure for Tiébélé where we will visit the Royal Palace of Tiébélé an exceptional testimony of Kasséna traditions with unique traditional architecture, visit of the traditional habitats of Tiébélé, visit of Naaba Bilgo and its objects as well as the Tomb of Naba Bilgo’s mother: he is a descendant of Moro Naba Oubri, which was the founder of the Central Kingdom. The next day we will leave for a vision safari in the Nazinga reserve: there are found 32 animal species. The Nazinga reserve is home to elephants, cob of fassa, monkeys, hippotragus, warthogs, buffaloes, etc…, at the end, we will visit the Peak of Nahouri in Songo, dinners and nights at the Nazinga ranch.
Day 6: Tiebele - Leo 156 km
Early wake up, breakfast and safari until 10:30 am. After lunch, we will leave for the city of Léo (this city is part of the Gourounsi, Peuls and Mossi countries). Discovery of traditional huts painted by women around lush vegetation, arrival and installation at the hostel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Leo - Ouagadougou 167 km
Day 8: Ouagadougou - Hexagon
After breakfast, visit the artisanal market of Ouagadougo, visit of the village of Boassa and its pottery workshop, visit of Laongo and its marvelous rupestral granite site, lunch in a typical restaurant, return to the hotel, transfer to the Airport, END OF OUR SERVICES.
